Hi, Jewelry-loving friends!
As some may know we recently attended the Food Truck Rodeo Event in Currituck County, last Saturday. It was a fun event with a different crowd than we receive at the monthly ArtWalk. Thirteen pieces were able to find a home and I am Oh so grateful.
This month we also will attend the Mind, Body, & Spirit Expo, In Elizabeth City on March 23rd! This event I am super SUPER excited for this as there will be so many local creative people participating all catered around living a more natural lifestyle. Some activities that will be at this event include sound baths, tarot card reading, book exchange and so much more!
I am personally planning on hosting some sort of raffle, maybe? I am not quite sure yetttt but I will let you guys know soon.. Over the past couple of weeks, I have been creating so many new and fun pieces in my free time, in hopes they will all find their special someone.
The reality of being a vendor....
LoulousJewelry will be celebrating our second anniversary this May and with that, I have learned a thing or two along the way.
Going to a new event can be scary as you really won't know the outcome until you get it, but putting yourself out there as a business is the only way you're going to grow. YOU CANNOT SELL AN ITEM NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT. During any event, I try my best to hand out as many business cards as possible, the person may not have purchased an item then but now they have a face to the name and may choose to come back for the piece that caught their eye.
One of the first things I do once setting up my booth.... is trying to observe other booths that are also selling jewelry. I do not necessarily focus on what they sell (however it is nice to know you're both selling different styles) but how they are displaying them mostly, the technology they are using (are they using a card reader etc), and how they are attracting customers.
I have lovedddd my adventures attending vendor events and the amazing people it has helped me meet. I truly believe attending vendor events frequently has helped grow my business the most. I am also so so excited to attend even more once whether starts looking better... I already have my eye out for a few.
