Here are three things I have learned as a small jewelry business, who kind of has no idea what I am doing...
I started Loulou'sjewelry almost two years ago, at age sixteen and it has been a journey since. I began this little journey knowing not much at all, and now in six months, I get to call myself a business administration graduate and a business owner of two and 3 Ish months haha.. Which kind of means nothing but I don't know here are my thoughts
Here is what I have learned...
Stick to the basics. Simple content, original ideas, and local events are the key resources in keeping loulousjewelry on the path to success. The more intricate the piece is, does not mean its what people want, simple ideas are okay and original ideas are the best way to go when competing in this market.
Work when the creativity is there, not when you want it to be. Although it is not realistic to act on that midnight urge to make something, sometimes it just has to happen, it is okay, completely normal. Working when the ideas are following helps block creative dryness and encourages you to pursue new ideas.
Save those receipts and document them as you go. This one kind of speaks for itself, keeping track of receipts can help allocate costs more efficiently and file taxes way smoother.
Thank you for reading and I hope my experience will help you along with yours or gain a better insight into our business.
